Beginning/Refresher Machine Sewing - evening class

This friendly machine sewing class will introduce students to basic sewing skills, the sewing machine, and tool basics.  Skills practiced will include appropriate stitch selection, sewing curved lines and corners, and different seaming techniques. Students will apply these skills to making two projects.  This class is ideal for participants with little to no experience sewing or for those who haven't sewn in awhile.  All materials provided, and the class will use Ideaworks' machines.

This class is taught in 3 class sessions in the Textile Shop at Fresno Ideaworks, 1730 H Street, Fresno. Since the lessons are project-based and build upon the previous week's activity, students must attend all 3 sessions.  Upon completion of the class, Ideaworks members will be allowed to use the Ideaworks sewing machines unsupervised. Non-members will receive a conditional one-month membership allowing them to continue to practice their skills using the Ideaworks Singer sewing machines during open hours.
