Beginning Glass/Flame Work - Marbles

This is your chance to try the magical art of flame worked glass. You will create a beautiful and strong marble from borosilicate glass. After a introduction to safety practices and the basics of heating and shaping the hot glass, you will add color and swirl and twist the glass as you form nature's most perfect shape, the sphere. 

Your instructor is Chris Bonner, a local Fresno glass worker. He brings years of experience working with borosilicate or hard glass to help you create your beautiful marble. 

Please do not wear loose or floppy sleeves, dangling jewelry, or open toed shoes. Natural fiber/cotton clothing is preferred, since synthetic fibers can melt or burn from the torch. Make sure hair is tied back. 

CANCELLATION, CHANGE, AND REFUND POLICY

This is a high demand event with limited spaces available. A request of cancellation must be received by email to classes@fresnoideaworks.org 72 Hours prior to the event date to be eligible for a refund. Please note, a $15.00 processing fee will be assessed per cancellation from the total refund.

Regretfully, we are unable to issue refunds and/or credit for a missed class. However, in some circumstances at the discretion of the instructor and management, pending availability, a credit may be given towards future sessions with special circumstances. 

In the case that Ideaworks must cancel a class, full registration fees based on the original form payment was made will be refunded.
