Basic Laser Cutter Operations

Learn how to use our Full Spectrum Laser in this 3 hour Basic Laser Cutter Operations Class. You will learn how to safely use our laser cutter to cut, etch, and engrave designs on materials like acrylic, wood, cardboard, fabric and leather. The instructor will give a brief overview of the graphics software programs like Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, AutoCAD, Solidworks or CorelDRAW, you'll need to be familiar with to be able to cut intricate designs and engrave highly detailed images at the touch of a button. 

Any student under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult guardian. 

Once you've completed this basics course and are a paying member of Ideaworks, you will be certified to get started on all your laser cutting projects on your own.

Regular membership is $40 per month and 50% off regular membership ($20 per month) for students, seniors, out of area, military – active, reserve or veteran. Current members of Fresno Ideaworks are not eligible for this promotion. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer.    

CANCELLATION, CHANGE, AND REFUND POLICY

This is a high demand event with limited spaces available. A request of cancellation must be received by email to classes@fresnoideaworks.org 24 Hours prior to the event date to be eligible for a refund. Please note, a $5.00 processing fee will be assessed per cancellation from the total refund.
Regretfully, we are unable to issue refunds and/or credit for a missed class. However, in some circumstances at the discretion of the instructor and management, pending availability, a credit may be given towards future sessions with special circumstances. 
In the case Ideaworks must cancel a class, full registration fees based on the original form payment was made will be refunded.
